It was under seven (7) days old and it’s toes were still fused together. At first I thought he had been washed out of it’s den from all the rain. After inspecting the little guy, I found three small puncture holes. Two on the shoulder and one on its back hip, which indicates a predator,…
Sadly, Amazon has pulled their ‘Amazon Smiles’ program. Instead of helping the ‘little guys’ which helped more than you or they will know, they are focusing their philanthropic giving to programs with greater impact and where it can make meaningful change. Of course, I have a lot to say about that but I won’t. For…
I am not often left speechless but last Friday was one of those times, plus I was brought to tears and I never cry in public. Let me begin by giving a HUGE THANK YOU to each and every one of you that donated to Operation Orphan Wildlife Rehabilitation, Inc for the much-needed new trailer….
I often get asked by generous friends of Operation Orphan as to how they can help. Donations and purchases though our Amazon Wish List have been a tremendous help to me this year and I thank you very much to all that have donated. Today, I come to you with a very specific need that…
I would like to thank Karisa Bethune-Zinsmayer for the donation of Force Flex trash bags and one dozen towels to Operation Orphan Wildlife Rehabilitation. I use A LOT of towels. They are used to put on the bottom of the bins that baby animals are in, to wrap around the snuggle-safe heat source for the…
WOW! I am borderline speechless. Six packages were delivered today. Thank you very much Melissa Hornak, Janet Neubert, Julia Passmore. We also had a couple items delivered that did not have a names included. Thank you to everyone that has been sending items to help Operation Orphan Wildlife Rehabilitation, Inc. Your donations really do make…
I received three bottles of Flys-Off and a bag of cracked corn over the weekend. Thank you Melissa Hornak–this is a BIG HELP! Without Flys-Off, it would be very easy to have a parasite problem. Flys-Off allows me to safely get parasites off of the mammals. Without it, the fleas would get out of control. …
Once again I find myself saying THANK YOU. Kate Powell donated Clean & Cozy bedding, plus a bottle of Pedialyte. Mr. and Mrs. DeAngelis donated paper towels, bleach and Tide. Items donated not only help with caring for the wildlife but it saves me TIME because I do not need to go shop for them….
Thank you Ed and Nancy Irving for the two large bags of Aspan wood chips. That will be a BIG help when waterfowl begin to come in. In case you didn’t read my last post, BABY SEASON has started! We now have four baby squirrel that are no more than 10 days old and two…
My days normally begin between 4:00 and 4:30 a.m. My routine is to put the dogs out, get my first cup of coffee (if it is baby season I feed babies as I drink my first cup of coffee) and then let the dogs back in the house. I like, when able, to take that…
